Arizona State Too Much For Texas Tech

The Texas Tech men's basketball team has been put to the test before facing the likes of Arizona and Alabama and coming up short in both contests. On Saturday it was another big test as Arizona State rolls into town.

Chris Walker shaking up the lineup starting Jaye Crockett and Dusty Hannahs and Hannahs taking advantage on the first Tech possession running a play for the true freshman and he hits the three for the early three-point lead.

The three's were raining down for the Sun Devils though, Evan Gordon swings it to Jonathan Gilling knocks it down, 19-10, one of his five deep balls in the first half.

Then Gordon in transition from the corner to cap off a 17-2 run but Tech battling back, Crockett in transition bucket and the foul, Tech down 42-36.

The Red Raiders coming out strong in the second, Trency Jackson slashing with the reverse Tech down four, 42-46, but everything was falling for AZ State. Gilling getting the friendly roll on the three 51-42.

Tech back within 7 later but Jahii Carson getting in on the action from the corner, 64-54, he and Gilling tied for a game-high 18 as the Sun Devils use 14 three's to down Tech 77-62. The Red Raiders now 5-4.
