Tech Completes Comeback Against Minnesota

By: Red Raider Nation Staff
Updated: December 28, 2012
Amidst numerous December distractions, the Texas Tech football team weathered the storm and beat Minnesota 34-31.

And it took a comeback.

The Red Raiders were down seven in the final frame when Seth Doege found Eric Ward on a 35-yard touchdown play to tie it up at 31.

Then, senior safety D.J. Johnson came through with an interception that he returned deep inside the Golden Gophers territory.

With two seconds on the clock, Ryan Bustin split the uprights with a 28-yard field goal to give Tech the victory.

The Red Raiders finished 2012 with an 8-5 record.
