A shooting at a central Lubbock apartment complex led to a police standoff Sunday night.

Shots rang out at the Garden Apartments in the 1300 block of Avenue P around 9:45 p.m. Sunday night.

Police say someone inside one of the apartments shot at a white SUV in the complex's parking lot.

An officer was nearby at the time of the shooting and was able to follow the SUV with the shooting victims several blocks until it was stopped.

Once police stopped the car and identified the victims, they surrounded the apartment where they believe the shots came from.

The standoff lasted about ten minutes before the three people inside the apartment came out one-by-one.

Police said none of the three have been taken into custody.
