This rain isn't just flooding streets.  Sadly, it's also flooding several homes in East Lubbock.   Adela Arguelles has lived on the 1600 Block of Beech Street since the early 70's and every time it rains, the area around her home turns into something that looks like a lake and the water comes right through her front door.  They're trying sandbags, buckets, and just about anything else they can find to keep the water from coming farther into the house.  They say they wish the city would do something to fix the flooding problem.

Adela says,"We just need some kind of help. I don't know how they can help us but we don need the help ...They need to come out for sure and fix the street ...  pick it up, make some ditches on the side where the water will run up to the drainage."
Thursday night a city worker did eventually show up and told the family they would bring more sandbags in a few hours.  The family says they appreciate the help, but still want a more permanent solution, eventually.
