No Jail Time for Lubbock Reporter

Cecilia Jones was arrested when she took a camera inside two Amarillo hospitals to test their security. Today, the Potter County District Attorney held a news conference to announce they have reached an agreement with Jones and KCBD.
The station agreed to write a letter of apology which will be published in the Amarillo newspaper. They mut also pay $600 to the city of Amarillo for the costs of responding to the incidents.
KCBD agreed to drop any civil claims as a result of Jones' arrest. As part of the agreement, authorities in Potter County will not file any charges against her.
The station says they believe their story was a beneficial test of security and they apologize to all who were affected negatively by it. District Attorney Randal Sims tells us that he is disappointed with KCBD's letter of apology, saying be believes it lacks sincerity.
