Vehicle Main Clue in Search for Little Leah

"It is very difficult for us and very frustrating for us because we know that we are playing against time," Gonzalez said. "So time is of the essence in this situation."
Corporal John Gonzalez with Lubbock DPS said local authorities are pulling all their resources to help find Leah Marie Aguirre- but they need the publics help.
"This information is going out to a lot of people in a short amount of time," Gonzalez said. "So they are our eyes and ears for law enforcement. It's very important that they be vigilant and pay attention to what is going on around them."
With only limited information available about the missing girl and Miguel, the man suspected of taking her, authorities are relying heavily on a description of his vehicle--a 2008 red Ford focus.
"If they have a license plate, were not fortunate, we don't have that information," Gonzalez said. "So anything they can give us that matches the description of this vehicle is any help that we can look into."
Several calls ran through police scanners for hours last night, unfortunately none of the calls led to little Leah.
"It becomes very difficult because then all our resources are moving to one location to check out a vehicle," Gonzalez said. "Unfortunately there is another simultaneous call coming in about another vehicle that matches that description."
State troopers are working with the Lubbock police department, EMS and the fire departments, but they need everyone to keep a look out.
"We encourage the public to keep vigilant and keep us informed of things that they may see out there as far as the amber alert goes," Gonzalez said.
