15th Ranked Estacado Girls Knock off 2nd Ranked Cooper

Its has been a wild week for the Lubbock Cooper girls in District 2-3A as they beat 4th ranked Shallowater on Tuesday, but Cooper with another big test this week on the road at 15th ranked Estacado.

Cooper ball, under two minutes to play, tied at 41 but it did not last long, Jordan Hise hit the turnaround, 43-41.

Lady Mats answer, Tramesha Wilson was fearless with the pull-up 3, Estacado led 44-43 at that point.

Lady Pirates respond, Hise off the inbounds play, spins, shoots and it was good, 45-44.

Estacados Wilson hit the front end of a 1-and-1 to tie it at 45 but misses the second with under 10 seconds to go. Summer Bednarz has it for Cooper but Wilson picked her pocket and got the game-winning lay-up to go, 47-45. No. 2 Cooper goes down and the Lady Mats get a huge win.

Cooper, Estacdo and Shallowater now tied atop District 2-3A at 4-1.
