LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech has announced its baseball television schedule for the upcoming season as the Red Raiders will make seven appearances on Texas Tech TV on FOX Sports in conjunction with Red Raider Sports Properties, a division of Learfield Sports.

The seven home games on Texas Tech TV can be seen on FOX College Sports, FOX Sports Southwest or FOX Sports Southwest Plus as part of the third-tier rights package signed with FOX Sports last September.

Tech will make its season debut on Texas Tech TV on FOX Sports during its non-conference weekend series opener with UT Arlington on Friday, March 8 at 6:30 p.m. at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park.

"We are very excited to play this many of our home games on television in this region and across the country, which will reach throughout the majority of our recruiting area," first-year head coach Tim Tadlock said. "It is also a great opportunity for our program to form this partnership with FOX. We are also excited for Gio and Gus to form our broadcast team."

The Red Raider television broadcast crew will include Robert Giovannetti, providing the play-by-play action, and Mike Gustafson who will serve as the color analyst for the broadcast.

Giovannetti, a 1986 Tech graduate, was the sports director at FOX 34 in Lubbock (2010-2011) and served five years as the radio play-by-play voice of Red Raider baseball (2008-2012). Gustafson, a four-year Tech baseball letterwinner and graduate, will serve as analyst for both television and radio broadcast this season while also continuing to serve as the executive director of the College Baseball Foundation.

Tech's Big 12 home opener will also be its first conference game on Texas Tech TV on FOX Sports when the Red Raiders welcome the TCU Horned Frogs to Lubbock on Friday, March 29 with a 6:30 p.m. first-pitch.

Red Raider Sports Properties is the exclusive, multimedia rights holder of Texas Tech Athletics. In addition to Texas Tech, Learfield Sports manages the multimedia rights for more than 50 collegiate institutions and associations. For more, visit www.learfieldsports.com.
