Police are still searching for the suspect involved in a shooting that happened near Butler Park around 7:15 Monday night.

Witnesses say two different groups of teen boys were fighting in an ally, when one of the boys fired off 5 or 6 rounds.

One of those bullets went through a nearby house and grazed a 17-year-old girl in the back who was inside.

According to police scanner traffic, an officer was nearby on another call when he heard a half dozen gun shots.

He radioed for back up and several minutes later dispatchers told him they were getting calls for a shooting at Butler Park.

Police then arrived on scene and scoured the park for evidence.

An ambulance also came to check on the girls injuries.  The girl was not taken to the hospital and is expected to be o.k.

We spoke with the woman who owns the house that was hit who didn't want her identity revealed.  She said she is still in shock.

"We didn't know what happened, we thought it might have been fire crackers, they do that a lot," she said.  "But it changed when she said she was hit. She just started crying and we realized a bullet had come through the wall. We're glad its just a minor injury and we're very blessed. We thank the lord, everyone is o.k."
