Wednesday Morning Statement on Mayor's Condition

The City Manager reports that Mayor Glen Robertson continues recovering at Covenant Hospital this morning. Mayor Pro Tem Karen Gibson will assume the responsibilities of mayor during his recovery.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with Mayor Robertson and his family," said Councilwoman Gibson. "We wish him a speedy recovery."
Mayor Robertson's wife, Karen Robertson, issued the following statement on behalf of the family.
"We thank everyone in Lubbock for their continued support and prayers. Glen looks good and is resting comfortably. We hope to see him home as soon as possible."
Due to The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Privacy Rule, the City of Lubbock will not be releasing any further details on Mayor Robertson's recovery. If there are any future updates, his family will release the information.
