Sheriff Kelly Rowe says they started this new advertising campaign to cast a wider net for potential candidates, since many people are turning to the internet to find jobs.
"You know there is a lot of competition for a lot of positions with other agencies and that type of thing, so we are just trying to put ourselves in the best competitive spot to recruit great candidates," said Rowe.
He says they currently have between 30-40 current openings for clerical workers, detention officers, and law enforcement officers.
"Well obviously electronic media, social media websites that type of thing is where everybody now has moved to if they are looking for information if they are wanting ot see what the hiring requirements are on that type of thing so again part of the comprehensive plan to put out a message that really encourages a lot of people to give us a look and look at a longtime career with us," said Rowe
Sheriff Rowe says although the campaign is in its early stages, they have gotten positive feedback in traffic to their website and in the number of applicants.
