Lubbock Mayor Releases Statement While Recovering from Surgery

The cityof Lubbock releases a statement from mayor Glen Robertson regarding his recovery from emergency heart surgery. Read the statement here:


Mayor Glen Robertson has expressed thanks for the community's thoughts and prayers, as well as the kind offers of support to his family.

 

 "The surgery went very well, and am told I should be able to go home this weekend," Robertson said.  "I want to express my deep appreciation for the great care I've received from the physicians and staff at Covenant Hospital."

 

"I also want to thank Mayor Pro-Tem Gibson for cancelling a long-planned trip and handling the mayoral duties during my surgery and brief recovery," he added.

 

Mayor Robertson is not able to receive visitors other than immediate family, and asks that no flowers or gifts be sent.
