Evidence Found In Jeena Robert's Hotel Room; Someone Helped Her Hide

Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal Gary Brewer said Jeena Roberts put up a struggle when they arrested her Monday at the Houston hotel room where she was hiding out. Brewer said she was intoxicated and trying to hide from authorities.
"She was belligerent I'll tell you that much," said Brewer. "She was hiding in the bathroom and was not cooperative."
After searching the room marshals found evidence that somebody was helping her hide from police, possibly her parents.
Brewer said it wasn't easy finding Roberts because her family refused to cooperate and she changed her appearance.
"She attempted to conceal her identity by cutting her hair and dying her hair," said Brewer.
However, after multiple interviews, a lot of leg work and a possible tip, marshals located Roberts and brought her back to Lubbock in handcuffs.
"The cooperation between local and federal law enforcement served the public like it was supposed to," said Brewer.
The former Texas Tech student, now 24, was sentenced to 15 years back in November for intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault, stemming from a car accident where a drunken Roberts rear-ended and killed another driver.
Now, after bail jumping, Roberts could face an additional two to 10 years in prison.
"It's pretty rare for someone that I would say she's somewhat affluent in the kind of background she has to run like that," said Brewer.
