Liquor sales on Sunday has been banned in Texas since prohibition but you can still buy beer and wine and also get liquor at restaurants.

Many people said they don't like the idea of selling liquor on a day many people see as a religious day of rest.

Others like Johnnie Stone, the District Manager of Specs in
Lubbock, said the extra day wouldn't make a difference in sales.

"In other states where they've adopted Sunday sales all it really did was spread 6 days of sales into 7 days so it didn't really gain them any extra sales."

The bill was proposed on January 9
th of this year but will still have to pass through the House and Senate before being presented to the Governor who can sign the Bill into law.
