Red Raiders Continue To Slide, WVU Gets "W" On The Road

For the first time in eight years, the Red Raiders squared off against the West Virginia Mountaineers. The last time these two teams met was in the Sweet Sixteen in 2005 when West Virginia took the win by five points.
Today the Red Raiders were hoping to
tie that series record winning their second ever meeting.
The Mountaineers jumping out early, taking advantage of Tech's one of 22 turnovers and Aaric Murray finishes on the other end, 13-2 run to start.

Williams inside to Jordan Tolbert for the dunk,18-19.
Then Ty nurse with the first half winding down, hits the 3-ball from the corner. He had a team-high 14. Tech goes into half down 34-31.
Trying to mount a comeback in the
second half, Dusty Hannahs misses from the corner but Josh Gray is there to
clean it up, 55-59.
But then the floodgates opened as Eron Harris from deep, shot falls and it's 62-55. He had a game-high 18. Another long, this time from Gary Browne, 65-55.
The wheels coming off with another
turnover and Browne ahead to Juwan
Staten, capping off a 10-0 run. Tech can't
get it done falling 77-61.
