A Wolfforth woman died Sunday when the car she was riding in ran off the road and flipped over.

DPS said 55-year-old Anita Gonzales was riding in a 2003 Pontiac with 52-year-old Valentin Paic on FM 179 one mile north of FM 2053 when the car lost control going around a corner.

The car flipped multiple times.

Troopers said Gonzales was declared dead on scene. Paic was taken to Covenant Medical Center with broken ribs.

Both passengers were wearing seat belts, according to Cpl. John Gonzalez with DPS.
