Another victory for Texas Tech Football Saturday came with several arrests outside the stadium.
It was a similar scene to last Saturday's game against SMU, where 24 people were arrested.
At the UMASS game, 22 people were arrested on alcohol-related charges, and more than half of those were underage.
Tech senior, Kevin Budet, was arrested at the SMU game for public intoxication, even though he passed a field sobriety test.
He says the police are being too strict.
"They just said, 'Oh we know you're drunk,' they said, 'It doesn't matter that you passed the test we know you're drunk.' Instead of trying to cause a scene, we just followed their rules and decided to go somewhere else," Budet says.
Texas Tech Police Chief, Ron Seacrist, says officers are tolerant of the students and let them have fun, but will step in when absolutely necessary.
Seacrist says the high number of arrests is unusual.
