On the girls side of things in District 4-4A, the seeding has been set and the 22nd ranked Lady Bulldogs of Plainview are your district champions.

They were trying to stay sharp Tuesday night against Monterey, on the road.

In the 3rd, Karli Wheller got the pass in the lane, went up strong for basket and the foul 34-21 Plainview.

But back came the fighting Lady Plainsmen on the fast break Shazay Norris got the easy layup, Plainsmen cut the lead back within 10.

In the fourth, Shawanika Harvey made a great block but Sydney Hearn got the rebound and found a wide open Karli Wheeler from downtown.

And that would do it as the Lady Bulldogs take down the Lady Plainsmen 61-51.
