Couple's Dream Truck Stolen From Local Auto Repair Shop

"My boyfriend actually said you should post in on the news Facebook and so I did and luckily I got a phone call," Theresa Juarez said.

Theresa Juarez and her boyfriend Johnny wrote on KLBK's Facebook page saying their dream car had just been stolen.

"It took us a little while to save up for it," Juarez said. "He has always wanted and old school kind of truck. It was kind of his dream truck."

They took the 1967 Ford F-250 to Bluhm's Auto Shop for some simple repairs-but had no idea they would never see it again.

"We just bought the truck last month," Juarez said. "It was taken to a body shop for just some simple repairs and on Monday we got a phone call that it was not there."

Owner Balford Bluhm said they were waiting for parts to be delivered before they could finish the job.

"We figured the parts would be here the next da," Bluhm said. "Sure enough it was, but when we got here the next morning around eight the pickup wasn't here."

Bluhm filed a police report on February 5^th but said because the truck was an older model, it wasn't hard to steal.

"It's easy to get in to one of them and easy to hot wire," Bluhm said.

"We asked them if they had seen anything suspicious, people driving by," Juarez said. "They said no and stated that they didn't know how it got broken into and the door was left unlocked."

The story is a real he-said-she-said.

Bluhm said he left the vehicle parked outside of this house when the owners came by and unlocked it, but Theresa said it was the auto repair shop that left it unlocked.

"Of course we are not responsible," Bluhm said.

Bluhm said he told Juarez to take the truck home.

"We told him he could take it home or leave it, it didn't make any difference, but we wasnt responsible for it."

But Juarez is not happy.

She said the shop could have doen more to protect her truck.

"I feel like would have been a little harder if they had to go through more obstacles to take it," Juarez said.

Juarez is giving a $500 reward to the person who can help locate the stolen truck.

The license plate is AF18391.

@Ty graves...well I'm disappointed that he would LIE and say that he said to come get the truck&& he would LIE and say he parked it next door when the police report and the crime scene photos clearly show that the truck was NOT parked where he said. The truck was there 2 weeks NOT two days as he stated...also we didn't even have keys to the car when he said that my boyfriend Johnny Thompson came to unlock it...the keys were in HIS possession...so before before you draw conclusions Mr. Ty get your facts straight on both sides....also the man that was interviewed on the news was NOT the man that has had interaction with us at all... We have not talked to HIM about this truck at all...If you know where our truck is then you really need to say where. If your just saying that you know because your trying to make yourself relevant, then dont waste my time. Have a blessed day sir.
