"I had just cashed a check for a little over six thousand dollars," Rebecca Mireles said.
Rebecca Mireles did not just lose $6,000.
She lost her wallet filled with her kid's birth certificates and social security cards.
"Oh my God I freaked I pulled over at Target and started digging through everything," Mireles said.
Mireles lost her wallet while grocery shopping at the Wal-Mart off Loop 289 and Quaker.
"I went shopping and I was putting my stuff in the back of my car and I just left it in the front of my basket, pushed it into the car rack," Mireles said.
Luckily for her- a stranger found her wallet in the parking lot and returned it to the store manager.
"He did not take anything everything was still there," Mireles said. "I am beyond blessed God was really looking out for me."
Mireles wanted to thank the man and maybe even give him a reward for his kindness.
"I would just thank him so so much for being so honest and just turning it in without any hesitation," Mireles said.
"Absolutely," Mireles said. "You know before yes, but even more now."
