Friday was the final night of the regular season for the girls in high school basketball and one of the races we have been following all season long is the girls 2-3A race with the top two spots going to Cooper and Shallowater. Meaning it is win or go home for both Estacado and Levelland.

Estacado up three at the half but here comes Levelland, off the inbound, Autumn Beatty avoids the blocked shot to pull it within one at 27-26.

Now Levelland in front, Lady Mats not phased, Kyanna Walton feeds Tykera Ross who goes up with two defenders and got it to a one point game, 32-31 Levelland.

Loboettes worked it down low and Haylee Jackson wrapped it around Ross to get it back to a three point game 34-31.

The Lady Mats refused to give up with their season on the line, Wilson gets the steal and drives the lane, finding Raven Thurman for the three ball, Estacado within 2.

But Kylee Martin sunk the dagger with the three and Levelland clinches the playoff birth while its the end of the road for the Lady Mats. Final 51-46.
