At McGavock Nissan they've been sending customers on their way in new vehicles mainly fuel efficient ones with better mileage.

Brent McGavock said with gas prices on the rise people are paying more attention to how many miles per gallon a vehicles gets, ultimately determine there decision to purchase.

He said higher gas prices are causing them to have record selling months because customers are coming in and out saying they can't afford to pay for gas.

McGavock said right now is an ideal time to buy and save money especially if gas prices don't start to decrease anytime soon.

"We have cars some of the best in the industry in gas prices," said McGavock, "So, we have cars getting close to 40 miles a gallon and then we have our electric car that by statistic gets a hundred miles per gallon."

McGavock said people looking for vehicles with better gas mileage can even get cars like this one that still have enough room for the family.
