All flights before 8 p.m Wednesday Feb. 20 have been canceled at Lubbock Airport.

Low visibility has made it impossible for pilots to land or take off at the airport. Around 4 p.m Wednesday afternoon one pilot told his passengers that he couldn't see when he was trying to land the plane. Instead of landing, he turned the plane around and flew to Abilene to land the plane.

Several passengers are unhappy about the fact that the airlines are not paying for hotels because it is a weather related issue.

We will keep you updated on flight status as we get more information. Keep checking everythinglubbock.com.
