In the first though, not so good, Amath M'Baye knocked down the three to make it 10-2 to start the game for OU.
But Tech battles back in a big way, as Jaye Crockett gave Tech the lead with a jumper to make it 15-14 Red Raiders.
Tech would build on that lead with a Josh Gray lay-in, making it 20-18 in favor of the Red Raiders.
Then OU would make a run, as Steven Pledger, from downtown, makes it a 14-point lead.
But just before the end of the half, Clark Lammert for three, beat the buzzer, so the Red Raiders took that into the locker room down by 8.
They came out firing in the second, Jaye Crockett knocked down the jumper to get it within five. He would finish with 15.
But again the Sooners would go on a run, as Romero Osby put OU back in front by 15.
A last ditch effort by Tech, Josh Gray with the steal and the lay-in and on the very next possession, he did it again, Tech within 11.
Gray finished with 26 points 5 assists and 5 steals, but it was not enough as tech falls 86-71.
