Paramedics Injured In Ambulance Rollover Identified

Kim Pelletier, 41, was driving the ambulance and Christopher Colpitts, 29, was riding in the front passenger seat.
According to an accident report, an EMS ambulance was headed east on the 5100 block of S. Loop 289 at an unsafe speed.
The ambulance lost control and collided with the concrete lane divider that separates east and west bound traffic, before landing on its side.
Colpitts is listed in serious condition at University Medical Center.
Pelletier is listed in satisfactory condition.

Original article-- Police are on the scene of an ambulance accident near Slide Rd. and Loop 289.
Police say it happened around 7p.m. Monday night, in the eastbound lane of Slide, near the Loop.
University Medical Center say two paramedics were responding to another accident when they hit a patch of ice on the Slide overpass. The ambulance then flipped on its side and slid into a concrete barrier.
Both paramedics were taken to UMC and are listed in serious condition.
No patients were being transported at the time of the accident
