Homicide investigators say it is unlikely foul play was involved in a man's death found last night in an alley in North Lubbock.

The Lubbock Police Department received the call just after 10 p.m. from a passerby who discovered a man's body with a fatal gunshot wound in an alley behind 600 North Englewood.

Homicide detectives and a medical examiner spent hours at the scene investigating, but still have not identified the man.

Neighbors tell us they're on edge after hearing the news.

"It's kind of scary because I got 3 kids and all this stuff happening and I thought well if they were playing in the backyard what would happen," said neighbor Angelita Valdez.

"I'm a little scared you know because you don't expect something like that to happen in the alley behind your house," said neighbor Cassie Philpot.
