1. Cardinals Gather at Vatican Ahead of Conclave
Cardinals from around the globe have gathered inside the Vatican this morning for their first round of meetings before the conclave to elect the next pope.
2. Sinkhole That Swallowed Man May be Revealed
The enormous sinkhole that swallowed a man from his Florida home last week could be revealed later today when demolition crews knock down the remaining walls and clear away debris. More than half the home was razed on Sunday. Experts now need to decide what will happen to the two homes on either side.
3. Secy. Kerry in Saudi Arabia to Talk Syria
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry is in Saudi Arabia today for talks with the foreign ministers of Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman as well as the Saudi crown prince and foreign minister. The meetings are expected to focus on the crisis in Syria and fears about Iran's nuclear program.
4. Queen Elizabeth II Hospitalized
Britain's Queen Elizabeth II has been hospitalized for the first time in a decade with a stomach bug.
5. Baby Born with HIV Cured: Scientists
Scientists revealed Sunday that a baby born with the HIV virus appears to have been cured. The child is in Mississippi, now 2 and has been off medication for about a year with no signs of infection. If the child remains healthy, this would be the world's second reported cure.
