Local First Responders To Be Honored At Unsung Heroes Ceremony

By: Allison Morrison
Updated: March 5, 2013
Metropolitan Lubbock Rotary Club and Prosperity Bank are proud to co-host the 10th annual Unsung Heroes Award Recognition Ceremony on Tuesday, March 5th from 6:00 - 7:30 PM at the Prosperity Bank Conference Center, 1501 Ave Q in Lubbock.

An EMS person, fireman, policeman, and sheriff deputy will be honored as the 2012 Unsung Heroes of Lubbock for their sacrifice, dedication and willingness to risk their lives in making Lubbock a safe place to live.

Each Honoree has been selected by their peers in their respective organizations.

The idea of this event arose after the horrific event of 9/11/01 and the heroic actions of the First Responders in New York City.

The Unsung Heroes Award Ceremony provides all the citizens of Lubbock an opportunity to express in a small way their thanks and gratitude for the sacrifices that Lubbock First Responders exhibit each and every day.
