Monterey Girls Use Only Run to Top Cooper

Right around The Hub City, Monterey and Cooper duking it out on the diamond. And believe it or not, a defensive battle broke out.
The scoreless tie was finally broken in the top of the second when Alexis Vines scored the Lady Plainsmens first run on a wild throw into centerfield.
Cooper was sharp with the mitts otherwise. Bailey Goodsby made a diving snag then doubled up Monterey with a double play.
Alysia Rivas had it going for Monterey in the circle. She struck out Sami Gonzales to end the inning.
As the Lady Plainsmen went on to win it, 1-0.
