1. Storm Cancels 1000 Flights in Chicago

More than 1000 flights were canceled in the Chicago area on Tuesday after a winter storm left up to 10 inches of snow in the region. The storm is now moving east.

2. Dow Reaches Record High

The Dow Jones Industrial average reached record highs on Tuesday, surpassing its previous closing high, which was set in October 2007.

3. Venezuelan Leader Chavez Dead at 58

Hugo Chavez, the president of Venezuela, has died at the age of 58 after battling cancer for more than a year. Venezuelan Vice President Nicolas Maduro announced his death on Tuesday afternoon.

4. Employee Who Denied Woman CPR Had 'Misunderstanding' of Policies

The company that operates an elderly care facility in California where a woman died after being denied CPR says the employee who refused to cooperate with a 911 dispatcher did not understand company policies. The company said in a statement that the incident resulted from a "complete misunderstanding of our practice" concerning emergency care.

5. Is Kate Middleton Having a Girl?

A woman who presented Kate Middleton with a teddy bear during a meet and greet Tuesday claims that when she handed the gift to the duchess she replied, "I'll take that for my d..." The woman asked Middleton if she was about to say daughter but the duchess said she and Prince William are not telling. There is no audio of the exchange.
