1. Intern, 24, Killed by Lion at Park

ABC News has learned that the woman who was attacked and killed by an African lion on Wednesday was a 24-year-old intern at Cat Haven in California. Dianna Hanson was two months into her six month internship.

2. Va. Woman, 52, Killed Cutting Damaged Trees

A 52-year-old man was killed while cutting damaged trees during Wednesday's winter storm in Virginia. Areas in New York and New Jersey hit hard by Super Storm Sandy are now bracing for more flooding and erosion as the storm zeros in on the northeast.

3. Sharks Spotted off Palm Beach, Fla.

Sharks have been swimming in shallow waters very close to the shoreline in Palm Beach, Florida, forcing one beach to close two days in a row. Sharks generally migrate through the area in February.

4. Brooklyn Hit and Run Suspect Apprehended

The man wanted for a hit and run that killed a young Brooklyn couple and their baby last weekend was apprehended in a parking lot in Pennsylvania on Wednesday. Julio Acevedo will be extradited to New York to face charges.

5. Franco to Join Hollywood Walk of Fame

James Franco will join the Hollywood Walk of Fame, making him the 2,492 celebrity to be honored with one of the iconic stars.
