The road by Lake JB Thomas near Snyder still blocked off as DPS continues to investigate a skeleton found on the property Saturday afternoon.

A special forensics unit from the FBI has been called in to assist in the investigation. DPS says this search has been going on since Saturday afternoon because the skeleton has been scattered by wildlife.

Authorities have not been able to tell the age or gender of the remains but some speculate it could be missing teen Hailey Dunn as this site is about 20 to 30 miles away from where she was last seen.

The then 13-year-old Dunn was last seen in Colorado City in December of 2010. Her case was never solved, and no one has been charged in her disappearance.

DPS trooper Sparky Deen says they have no reason to believe it is Dunn, but he has no reason to believe its not. He says they will just have to wait until the test results are in.

Deen says once all the parts of the skeleton are gathered they will be sent to a medical examiner in either Lubbock or Fort Worth.
