Texas Tech will make its 20th appearance in the NCAA Tournament on Saturday, March 23 when the seventh-seeded Lady Raiders take on 10th-seeded South Florida at 5:30 p.m. CT at United Spirit Arena.

No. 2-seeded California (28-3) and 15th-seeded Fresno State (24-8) will face off at 3 p.m. Saturday and will join Tech (21-10) and South Florida (21-10) in Lubbock, Texas - one of 16 sub-regional sites for the NCAA Tournament.

Lubbock will host the NCAA opening rounds for the 11th time overall and first time since 2009.

The Lady Raiders are 19-1 at home in the NCAA Tournament and 12-4 overall in the opening round. Tech has a 30-18 overall record in the NCAA Tournament and is 17-10 overall in the tourney since the inception of the Big 12 Conference in 1996.

Tech was one of seven Big 12 teams to make this year's tournament field (Baylor, Iowa State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, West Virginia, Kansas).

This is the 11th overall appearance in the NCAA Tournament for head coach Kristy Curry and second in the last three years as a head coach at Texas Tech. Curry led the Lady Raiders to the tournament in 2011 before falling in the first round to St. John's.

Tech will tipoff against South Florida at 5:30 p.m. (CDT) or 30 minutes following the first game between California and Fresno State. The second round game on Monday, March 25, will tipoff at 8:30 p.m. (CDT).

Tech is 1-1 against South Florida all-time with the two teams last meeting in 2008 at the Paradise Jam tournament in the U.S. Virgin Islands - where Cal was also a participant.

Full session (all three games) prices are $25 for adults and $15 for youth (18 and under)/seniors.  Individual session passes will go on sale Wednesday, March 20 and are priced at $15 for adults and $10 for youth (18 and under)/seniors.

Texas Tech students with a valid Tech ID will receive free admission courtesy of the Marsha Sharp Leadership Circle, Student Affairs and Student Union and Activities.

Parking for the event is free in the west lots of the arena on game day and a limited number of ADA spaces will also be available.

To purchase tickets by phone please call (806) 742-TECH or visit the athletics ticket office in its temporary location in the lobby of the West Stadium Building at Jones AT&T Stadium.
