It goes without saying that the Texas Tech baseball team had one of their best weekends in recent memory. The evidence is obvious in their first series win over Texas in Austin since 2001.

The Red Raiders took two of three from the Longhorns in dramatic fashion, winning the rubber match, 4-2. All in all, it was a complete weekend from top to bottom for Tech.

Dominic Moreno, Trey Masek and Johnny Drozd allowed only one run in a combined 20 1/3 innings of work on the mound, helping Tech put a nice feather in their cap to open conference play.
