Family, Friends Speculate Snyder Remains Could Be Hailey Dunn

Speculation is swirling over the remains found in Scurry County on Saturday.

Hailey Dunn was last seen in 2010 roughly twenty miles from where the body was discovered. She was thirteen-years-old when she went missing, and her case was never solved.

Her family and friends said they think these remains could be her.

"It could be Hailey because it's been about two years that would be what her decomp would be," a woman on Hailey Dunn's behalf said.

Hailey's search team has been looking for an answer for years, and they said that all they can do at this point is be hopeful and pray.

"We've got a really strong search group that leans on each other a lot and that's all we're dong. We keep leaning on each other we keep praying and just keep strong whether it is Hailey or whether it's not."

And as family and friends wait the results, they're clinging to each other in prayer.

"[We] keep leaning on God because all we can do is sit and wait."

FBI is using dental records to identify the remains found Saturday near Snyder.  They said the bones have decomposed too much for an autopsy.
