Scott Faris said he and his wife Amy didn't limit themselves while composing the music.
"We have taken the 1927 silent film Metropolis and created an entirely new sound track synced to the film. It covers everything from dub step, to 1920's swing, to rap, to rock and roll. It's an amazing, amazing musical and film experience."
The Faris' worked for 8 months with a band that includes numerous musical instruments, singers, and even a DJ with a turn table. Amy Faris says working with her husband was like having someone else complete her thoughts.
"We've been married for so long that it's almost like we are an extension of each other. And he would have a thought and I would take that to the keyboard and go 'Oh I can write something with that'. He would do the same thing and visa versa. It was wonderful."
Over half a year later the day of the show arrived and the Faris' 2 and a half hour long score is ready to debut its first live performance. Scott and Amy can't wait.
"I'm thrilled. I can't wait for people to see this."
The film runs for 2 nights and begins at 7 pm Friday March 22, 2013 and Saturday March 23, 2013.
