An Amber Alert ends with a little girl back in her mother's arms.  For twelve hours, a mother was frantic as police and volunteers searched for her 8-year-old daughter.  It took an Amber Alert and a full-squad of officers to bring her home.

"I remember screaming a falling to my knees."

Raquel Castillo kissed her 8-year-old daughter Sierra goodbye and left her apartment Saturday night around eleven.  When she returned a little after one, Sierra was gone and her babysitter had no answers.  She called police immediately who began searching a fifty mile radius.  34 police officers scoured fields and homes, volunteers posted fliars, and a recording called out to every home in the area.  Captain Greg Stevens says Sierra's safety was their priority.

"A lot of resources we put into this situation.  We view those situations as the child is at the will of the world, can't take care of herself."

After several calls out to Castillo's brother, they finally found their answers.  He had taken her from the apartment while the babysitter was sleeping, and didn't leave a note.

"She's usually with my brothers.  They love her and I'm a single parent.  They help me raise her."

Now police and CPS are looking into charges being filed as they continue to investigate.  But all agree, they're breathing a sigh of relief now that Sierra is home.

"Fortunatley, this was a best case scenario.  Lots of things come to mind when we're dealing with a missing child situation.  Lot of relief right now for the officers who were involved in it."

"She's in my arms now and maybe the shakiness and the awful feeling in my heart will go away."
