LUBBOCK, Texas: The Texas 6-Man Football All Stars are invading the Hub City this week. The best six-man football players from around the state have been selected to play. Practices are being held all week in preparation for the games this week. The players are split into two divisions (Div. I, Div. II) and then into East and West teams. This year marks the first time in the All Star Classic's history that the players will be separated into respective divisions. The Division II game will take place Friday night at 7:30 from Lowrey Field, while the Division I game will get underway on Saturday at 7:30, also from Lowrey Field. The games present a unique opportunity for players to compete against the best that Texas has to offer while also providing one last chance for many of the players to play football in a competitive situation. To comment on this story click on the icon in the lower right-hand corner.
