Two months after a Lubbock woman is found murdered in a Northeast Lubbock oil field, the case remains unsolved. Tonight they're giving us an exclusive first look at the murder seen in hopes it will lead to a break in the case.
Back on August 20th, an oil field worker found 29-year-old Monica Adams beaten to death near MLK and East Bradley. Today, the lead investigator on the case gave us an exclusive look at the murder scene. The lead Sgt. showed us exactly where her body was lying face down. He also described how several pieces of evidence were found just a few feet from her body. He's hoping a closer look at the scene will prompt witnesses to come forward.
He says, "We have no new leads to follow up on right now so that's why I encourage everyone to call ... somebody out there saw who she was with last and that's the person we need to call."
Adams was last seen alive in the early morning hours on August 16th. If you have any information on her murder, call the Crimeline at 741-1000. Police are stressing, you can remain anonymous.
