Come Saturday, the Hub City is going to be packed. And with no room left at any hotels, many folks are looking for alternatives.

Several Lubbock residents are posting on websites like Craig's List. They're offering up their homes and apartments as alternative lodging to the booked-up hotels.

And folks coming into town are also posting asking for a place to stay.

Visit Lubbock Executive Director Marcy Jarrett says Lubbock residents are coming through with extra places to stay.

Marcy Jarrett, Executive Director, Visit Lubbock: It's getting very interesting around here. We've never had people call our office, just to offer their homes or rooms in their homes. I just think it's tremendous, i think it says a lot about the citizens, how trusting they are, and how welcoming they are.

Of course if you chose to try and cash in on the spare room business, be aware of who you're renting to or from, and realize that are taking a chance and make sure and stay safe.
