Well this afternoon is when it all started with a taping for sportscenter at 3:30 this afternoon. Students filled the Egineering Key, equipped with some very creative signs, and tons Red Raider spirit!

Now -- as you all know, this is the first time Lubbock has ever hosted College Gameday, and as we walked around today -- in the midst of Beat Texas cheers and 'Guns Up'.

It was apparent that Tech will not disappoint as host. Signs of support were everywhere, boasting potential Heisman winners Graham Harrell and Michael Crabtree. And some even pushing a new Heisman option -- Matt Williams -- more commonly known as "Lynnwood."

Some even found a way to go political, with signs saying "Obama wants Change -- Texas Tech Beats Texas!"

We even found one long Longhorn in the crowd.

Now -- some of my favorites... a pirate ship with Mike Leach as captain.

And another one -- 'Graham is my favorite cracker.'

No matter the sign -- everyone is 'pumped up' for the big game.

Cory Chandler: "This is great, this is a great opportunity for Tech, get some national exposure, you know, i think we've had a great season so far, it's nice to get recognition for it."

Jacorey Mosely: "Be ready. They're coming to Lubbock, it's not a good thing. Hope they come to fight, 'cause we're ready!"

Now if you missed out this afternoon, tomorrow morning's taping is from 9 to 11. The staging area opens at 7 a.m. so get out there early!
