Three Lubbock men are facing state felony charges tonight because police say they shot out dozens of car windows around Southwest Lubbock last night.
About 2:30 Thursday morning, an officer heard some type of shots being fired, and breaking glass around 73rd and Chicago.   He pulled over a car in the area and found three men inside with evidence linking them to the vandalism.  Police arrested 20-year old Pedro Lara, 21-year old Rene Villalva, and 20-year old Travis Bell on state jail felony charges of criminal mischief.

Capt. Greg Stevens with the LPD says, "It wouldn't be surprising if it goes to the level of a 3rd degree felony ... A 3rd degree felony carries the minimum of a two year punishment ... up to a ten year punishment

Police are investigating if these men are also responsible for shooting out more than a hundred other car windows Tuesday night.  All three suspects were being held on $50,000 bonds.   Lara and Villalva bonded out of jail Thursday night, Bell remains behind bars.
