As we look ahead to the day where we give thanks for our blessings, others -- who may not have a place to go -- are looking forward to their own special place to have that special meal.

The Lubbock Salvation Army has been busy all day today preparing for it's annual Thanksgiving feast.

Fear not if you think you have nowhere to go tomorrow. The salvation army is welcoming you with a good, traditional Thanksgiving meal. Cooks started at 5:00 this morning with the turkeys and dressing. They're expecting between 300 and 400 folks to share the meal with tomorrow.

Now -- tonight, they're serving up ham, but they've got 30 turkeys ready and waiting for the big day tomorrow.

This is Elvin Leak's first year to cook Thanksgiving at the Salvation Army, and already he's feeling blessed to be able to give back to those who have already given so much to him.

Elvin Leaks: "This is a wonderful feeling for everybody. I want everybody to get in, where you fit in, and everybody get fed."

The doors open tomorrow at 4 and they'll be serving until 6.

They're located at 1111 16th Street in Downtown.

Salvation Army workers say they've truly been blessed this year with volunteers and food donations, but if you'd still like to help they're already looking ahead to Christmas.
