Beth Bridges with the mall says they're expecting tens of thousands of shoppers to head out for the great deals. She says the day after Thanksgiving is their second busiest day of the year, and while they aren't anticipating any problems , she has a few tips to make sure you and your belongings stay safe this holiday season.
Bridges says, "Come shopping in groups. It's more fun that way anyway, but it's a little bit safer in bigger numbers so, come with your friends and family." She adds, "If you have a lot of packages with you or a lot of belongings, be sure to keep them on your person at all times. Don't set them on the ground or to the side. First of all, you might forget them and leave them and lose or it might be tempting for someone to pick them up."
Bridges also says if you put bags in your car and head back in the mall. Make sure you lock them in your trunk.
