In the spirit of giving, two Lubbock non-profit organizations are joining together to help reduce hunger in Malawi, Africa. Breedlove Foods and Operation HOPE have teamed up for an effort called F.A.M.I.N.E.--or the Feed A Million In Need Effort. Breedlove produces nutritious, dehydrated food and sends it to countries who are suffering from food shortages.

They've already sent and distributed a shipment to the African nation of Malawi, with the help of Somebody Cares Ministries. Theresa Malila, founder of Somebody Cares, is spending Thanksgiving in Lubbock. She says it's incredible to meet the people who have helped feed her country.
