Firewood Sales Up

A bad economy has many changing their habits, including how they heat their homes this winter.
Fired Up Firewood in Lubbock is reporting a significant increase in firewood sales.
Sales in October were double the same month last year.
They say buyers are complaining about the cost of natural gas.
So, they're turning to firewood as the only source of heating their homes and they're saving money too.
"I think people are just going back to the natural way of heating their homes because the fuel prices are getting so out of hand, going up and down, and there's a lot of people that use wood," Fired Up Firewood's Mel Barley says.
Barley says Fired Up Firewood sells mostly oak, pinon and mesquite firewoods.
