TxDot Preps for Icy Weather

With the prospect of snow and ice, road crews and schools are getting ready. TxDot is loading up salt trucks and have put a new system in place for drivers to check conditions online. The new Transview website allows drivers to check any of the nine cameras set up around the loop. A new snapshot of the roads is taken every minute to show road conditions.
Lubbock ISD is also getting ready, and school officials are set to get up tomorrow morning checking the roads for school safety. The new Transview website can be accessed at www.txdot.gov. Also, LISD says they will notify parents of any delays through the parent notification system, but they don't expect any problems on Tuesday.
