Red Raider fans all over town are reacting to Harrell being passed over for the Heisman, and to say most of them are upset about the snub would be an understatement.

Fans of Texas Tech football and Graham Harrell were mad tonight to say the least.  Now, a few folks said they weren't surprised Harrell didn't make it to the finals, but the majority of people said Harrell should have been a shoe-in for the top award in college football, simply because he's the best.  Now, no one can say Harrell's failure to win the prestigious award came from a lack of trying.  He starred in commercials trying to convince Heisman voters to choose him.  Not to mention, he executed pass after pass all season long leading the the Red Raiders to what most fans call the team's best season ever.

So why was he overlooked when it seems he has the stats to prove he's the best??  Harrell fans say the answer is obvious.

Harrell fan, Amy Carlile says, "It's because Tech doesn't get the national attention that it needs to get. I think Coach Leach is drawing that program that way and I think it will be a couple of years before Tech gets that kind of attention that they need."  Another Harrell fan, David Clark adds, "I didn't think it was fair i think they were held back because the BCS has held Tech back."

So, as you can see many folks think if Tech had just been able to make it to a BCS bowl then maybe Harrell would have been able to get the recognition, they say he deserves.
