Tonight police are looking for two armed robbers who broke into a Central Lubbock home and claimed to be police officers.
Just before 10:00 Tuesday morning, police say two hispanic men kicked down the back door of this home on the 1600 Block of Avenue L. The victim, Jose Alonso, says the suspects yelled "police" and forced him down on the floor and put a gun to his head. Alonso's wife says her husband didn't recognize the intruders, but they seemed to know him.

Olivia Alonso says"He (her husband) said they had the gun to his head and the other guy was searching and one of the guys kept saying are you sure this is the man? Are you sure this is the right house? And, the other guy says yeah, yeah."

The Alonsos say the suspects knew exactly where they usually hide any extra cash they have, but the hiding place was empty so the men got away with nothing.  If you have any information on this case, call the Crimeline at 741-1000.
