Would you take a tax raise?

According to a KLBK poll, 53 percent of those who voted said they would vote for tax hike if it meant repairs would be made to Lubbock streets and water lines. On Thursday, the City Council postponed talks about a May bond election, but many council members feel a bond election is needed.
When speaking to people around the Hub City, many said they could get behind a bond election if it was a reasonable number.
Others said they felt too many projects form previous bond elections, like the animal shelter, are hanging in limbo and there is a lack of accountability down at Lubbock City Hall.
